Check-in time of tickets and baggage is determined by airlines, passenger should be informed about it when buying a ticket.
Approximately check-in starts 2 hours before flight departure.
Note! Some airlines prolong check-in time for flights:
- AIR CHINA – 3 hours before the departure time
Check-in for a flight finishes 40 minutes prior the take-off time. When booking and purchasing an airline ticket please check the check-in time limits with the authorized personnel of your airline.
A passenger can check-in for a flight:
- Before arriving to the airport – online check-in;
- Upon arrival at the airport – at the check-in counters.

It is recommended to arrive to the airport 2–3 hours before the departure.
If you are late for check-in, you will not be allowed to take your flight.
If you are late for check-in, please, address to the airline booking office situated on 3rd floor of the air terminal complex or notify airline representative via telephone number that you can find on your ticket.
After check-in and baggage handling, passenger goes to security point specified in the boarding pass for preflight security check.
Consular Services
Pecularities of issuance of entry visas at Minsk National Airport
Visa applications are processed at Minsk National Airport by the Division for the Admission of Foreigners of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (DAF).
Visas are issued 24/7.
Visa support documents (an original invitation and its copy) should be submitted to the DAF by an inviting organization/person at least 2 business days before the expected arrival date.
Visa support documents should be submitted to the information desk of the DAF at sector 1/2 of the airport, ground floor, on working days from 11 am to 1 pm, on weekend and holidays the information desk of the DAF is closed.
Visa support documents may be also sent by post (Division for the Admission of Foreigners of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Minsk International Airport, 220054 Minsk).
— Attention!
The officer of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs marks with a stamp the copy of visa support document. The stamp is a confirmation of the receipt of visa support documents.
The Stamp of the Consular Department on the visa support document is a mandatory requirement of air carriers for the check-in procedure of foreign citizens without valid entry visas of the Republic of Belarus.
Therefore, it is strongly recommended to send the copy of visa support document with the stamp of the Consular Department to the invited foreign citizens (by e-mail, fax, etc.) for its submission to the representative of air carrier at the check-in procedure.
In case of a relative’s death or critical illness, visa support documents may be submitted by the applicant on arrival.
Short-term student visas and group visas may be obtained on arrival only in the presence of a representative of the institution that has issued an invitation.
Foreign citizens arriving on flights from the Russian Federation will not be able to apply for visas at the DAF. Therefore, they must obtain visas at one of the Embassies or Consulates of the Republic of Belarus prior to their arrival.

Baggage
A new automated system for baggage handling is installed at National Airport Minsk. A computer system for automatic sorting of baggage with the help of baggage tags for a particular flight considerably improves the entire technological process of baggage loading on the aircraft, virtually eliminating the cases of its loss or the need to rush it due to the late loading.
During baggage check in it is forbidden to place the following things on conveyor belt:
- items that can slide: tubes, balls, round bags;
- too soft or unsteady items, such as plastic bags;
- fragile items: electronic equipment, glass;
- animals;
- metal trolleys for bags;
- bags with long, free-hanging straps (long straps should be removed, and the handles fastened together).
There shouldn’t be any tags or bar codes on your baggage from previous flights.
For a convenient transportation, you may use baggage trolleys for FREE.
Storage rooms of RUE “National Airport Minsk” are on the underground floor at gate 6 of the airport terminal. Before luggage receiving for storage it must be subjected security inspection. The security staff call button is indicated on the diagram.
In order to keep your baggage clean while its transportation, you can use baggage-wrapping counters, which are located on the 3rd floor at the departure area of the air terminal complex.
On arriving to National Airport Minsk check that you’ve got YOUR baggage. Check the number on the baggage tag with the number on the claim ticket on your boarding pass.
Note!
An important part of providing safety of your baggage while its transportation is wrapping it, which ensures safety of the contents when delivered to and from the aircraft to the terminal. All glass and fragile items, cans and bottles in the baggage should be properly wrapped.
It is highly recommended not to carry the following things in your baggage:
- money, jewelry, precious metals, silverware;
- identification documents, medical certificates, securities, business documents, technical documentation;
- medicines in limited quantities;
- electronic equipment (including photo and video equipment, computer equipment, data storage media);
- keys, glasses;
- brittle, fragile, breakable, perishable things, works of art, unique or irreplaceable items;
- fur goods, and other valuable items.
We recommend taking these items with you into the aircraft cabin as cabin baggage.

Liner Restaurant
Renovated “Liner” restaurant welcomes its guests. “Liner” is the restaurant where you can taste Belarusian national cousine cooked by professional chefs of our restaurant. In addition, you can choose a delicious dessert from the wide range of pastry in the menu.
The interior reflects the theme of the restaurant; good vibes and tasty food make your stay at the restaurant comfortable and relaxed. Visitors and guests can use free wifi.
The restaurant offers lunch menu from 10.00 to 16.00.

The restaurant is located in the departure zone on the 3rd floor of the terminal, sector 5-6.

Bars of Catering service
Passengers, waiting for their flight at the departure area, can visit bars of Catering service. There customers can choose from a wide range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, coffee and tea, sandwiches, hot snacks, confectionery products of own production and Belarusian producers. Passengers can purchase souvenirs and other related goods. The calculation is made in Belarusian rubles.

Smoking Areas
Dear passengers and visitors of National Airport Minsk!
Please be aware that according to the Decree of the President of the Republic of Belarus No. 7 dated November 23, 2017 smoking (consuming tobacco products) is prohibited, excluding the places especially dedicated for these purposes.
For the convenience of guests in the Airport building there are special smoking rooms, as well as smoking areas on the territory of the landside area, situated close to the entrances to the air-terminal building.
Totally there are 2 smoking rooms on the territory of the air-terminal complex.
